Clamping Odd Shapes or Bundles in a Horizontal Band Saw

Writer: Band Saw Blades ExpressBand Saw Blades Express

There are two considerations to think about when clamping bundles in a horizontal bandsaw.

  1. Make sure the clamping is rigid so that the workpieces will not shift mid-cut. Any shifting of the work will damage or destroy the blade, not to mention present a safety risk to the operator.

  2. If possible, arrange the bundle so that it will present a uniform width for the entire cut. This will improve cut quality and also maximize blade life.

Our bimetal blade is an excellent choice for cutting pipes, beams, angles, channels, and bundles.
